Under slips for dresses are an absolute must to have in your clothing arsenal. Not only as solutionwear (an under slip dress can be needed for both sheer and bias-cut dresses), but as nightwear and, most importantly, regular ready-to-wear (think Kate Moss or Courtney Love). Here, we collate the best slip dresses out there, to make sure you own one for each occasion.

Slip dresses have evolved, there not just as something you slide underneath your clothes. slips are made to be seen and will follow you through all the season and weather changes you may face. A slip can be the main attraction and the perfect item to style up or down. with endless possibilities. As for slip dresses we won't be wearing anything over, we're looking to Cos, Ganni and Pinko, while for those that worked best playing second fiddle under something else, La Perla, Wolford and M&S are our favourites.

This bold colourblock slip dress probably isn't for wearing under anything if you're hoping for your undies to remain discreet. Wear it on it's own in the heat of the summer, or under something sheer if you want to reveal it in stages.

Ok, not a slip per se, in that it doesn't feature a skirt. But we can't shout loudly enough about how great the Skims technology is for keeping you supported and cinched, while blending seamlessly underneath whatever outfit you've chosen (with shapewear options for so many different garment cuts). And if you're hoping to avoid chub rub on the hottest of days, a little shortie like this is ideal.

The classic black midi slip dress is beloved for its myriad styling options. Elevate yours with strappy sandals and a tuxedo jacket in the evening, or underpin it with T-shirt and turtlenecks during the day.

Exclusive to Net-a-Porter, Acne Studios' slip dress is one of the best pieces we've seen all season. Made from fuchsia satin and red crepe de chine, its expertly draped and slit at the hem to let a flash of the contrast lining peak through. The colour combination is so striking we foresee a micro-trend coming on.

Norma Kamali's slip dress could just replace your favourite LBD. This cowl-neck mini is expertly draped from satin to create liquid-like lustre. The satin is a true wardrobe staple but we also think the brand's silver iteration is mesmerising.

The wider straps, scooped neckline and navy hue on Ghost Fashion's slip dress create a more casual feel. Run with the relaxed vibes by underpinning yours with a white T-shirt or throwing on a tonal jumper to create a skirt.

Embrace the slip dress' lingerie connotations with AllSaints' lace-trimmed Praia design. Made from lustrous satin, it's finished with an asymmetric hemline and contrasting eyelash trims. Choose between this cool monochrome or sage-green, lavender and classic black colourways.

Raey's black slip dress is made from silk-crepe de chine, rather than -satin, to create a more relaxed matt finish. Cut on the bias to create beautiful movement, it's suspended from delicate straps and drops to midaxi hem. We're tempted to add the cream and white colourways to our basket, too.

A packing slip is a document that includes the complete list of items included in a package. Packing slips include SKU numbers, weights, dimensions, and the number of units that are used by shipping departments to determine what inventory needs to be sent out to accurately complete an order. Finally, the buyer or receiver of the order will check the received items against the packing slip to ensure all the ordered items arrived.

Though similar in nature (and can look nearly identical at a glance), a packing slip and invoice serve different purposes for purchase orders. A packing slip is used to denote the physical goods being received, where an invoice is the financial document of the order, containing information like how much money each product was sold for, the payment terms, payment method, and date.

Depending on the size of the order and products, as well as the location of different SKUs among different warehouses, an order may need to be split into separate shipments (meaning certain items are sent in different boxes). If an order is spread out across multiple boxes, a packaging slip can help both the seller and recipient stay organized.

Like on an invoice, this basic information is useful for filing purposes such as urchase order number, contact information, and if there were any problems with the shipment while in transit. Of course, the shipping label is the default for shipping carriers, but just in case there are issues in transit, a packing slip can be a helpful backup option.

Many purchasers check the items they receive against this list of what was ordered to make sure that they are receiving everything that they paid for. They can reference their confirmation email as well, but having a packing slip handy might be preferred for some folks.

Along with the invoice, a packing slip will include line items of anything that was ordered but not shipped so they can be reordered. This is pretty rare to not communicate before the order is submitted or fulfilled; However, if it occurs it will be clearly outlined.

To check in each individual item from a packing slip, the product name or SKU is not enough, as many sellers order more than one of a certain item. A quantity column helps reduce the length of the list so that a packing slip is not several pages long if many of the same item is ordered.

No matter how you handle order fulfillment, the packing slip is one way of managing customer expectations. However, besides verifying if everything they ordered has arrived, there are other criteria that customers will judge their experience on, including timely shipping.

In most cases, a packing slip and a delivery note are the same, and are both used to ensure all items ordered have been delivered. However, a delivery note sometimes requires a signature from the recipient to be returned to the seller or consignor as proof of delivery.

Hello! Can you make your own slip from the clay you are using? I am using WH8 (white stoneware, cone 6) to make sculptural tile slabs that need to be "glued" together. Can I make my own slip from the WH8, or should I buy commercially made slip? And if I should buy it, from where do I buy it? Thanks for you advice.

For normal joining, I don't deflocculate my slip. However, if I'm using it to decorate, I will deflocculate it, and add more clay, to get a super saturated slip, that won't shrink and lessen the texture I was using it for.

@AlachuaArtist, are you trying to join greenware tiles together that are quite dry or are the components on the tile what you need to join to the slab base? Hard to tell in your image if the additions sitting on top of the base or are attached. Joining fairly dry pieces together can be done with paperclay slip.

For joining (only* because it's easier to get a smooth look - the slip squeezes out from the joint, which can then be smoothed into a small fillet with a wet finger or brush), I retain some slop from throwing in a small cup, right by the wheel; a few drops of water keeps it wet. ...I'm joining handles, doesn't take much (you just posted your pic!) - looks like you'd need a more that a few spoon fulls!

For stoneware clays, I usually just use water- score, water, score again. It makes its own slip, works very well. For porcelain I prefer deflocculated slip. For slab work, which requires a lot of scoring along long joints, I would use slip regardless of the type of clay, because I would only have to score once. 041b061a72
